Egg Roll in a Bowl

 If you love the flavor of crispy egg rolls but want something quick and healthy, this Egg Roll in a Bowl is the perfect one-pan dinner! It’s packed with veggies, seasoned beef, and that delicious sesame-soy flavor everyone loves.



Ingredients



  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Pepper, to taste
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3–4 cups shredded cabbage (or coleslaw mix)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds, for garnish




Instructions

  1. Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Add veggies: Stir in the chopped onion, shredded carrot, and minced garlic. Cook for about 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add cabbage: Toss in the shredded cabbage and cook until it begins to wilt, about 5 minutes.
  4. Season: Add soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and pepper to taste. Stir everything together until well coated and heated through.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
